UVA Recruits have fantastic weekend!!!

Dear Friends,

It was a great weekend for our incoming first year class. Will Mason, George DiCamillo, James Suvak and Chris Yankowich in particular wrestled in some big tournaments this weekend. Here is a quick recap of what our future cavaliers have been up to:

George DiCamillo: Wins his THIRD straight Ironman Title!!

As many of you know, the Ironman tournament is arguably the toughest wrestling tournament in the country. Winning one tournament championship is something worth noting...well, George just won his third straight!! Not only did George win it all, he dominated in the finals by an 11-4 margin. James Suvak: Finishes an impressive third at the Ironman

Suvak was at the Ironman as well and although he lost in the semifinals, he came back strong to take third. He is his quarter final match:

Chris Yankowich: finishes one match away from placing

Chris was our last competitor at the prestigious Ironman. He lost close in the quarterfinal round and then heartbreaker in the placing round to finish one match away from placing at this great event. Chris is a National Prep Champion and we expect a big second half of the year from him. I'll be up at the Beast of the East cheering him on this coming weekend.

Will Mason:  Starts the season 9-0!

Will has and a great start to the season and won the SunDevil Challenge this past weekend. Will beat 3 guys ranked in the top 5 in the state and looks to win the Beast of the East this coming weekend. Will, also a National Prep Champion, has been close to winning this tourney before and we are excited to see him in action on Saturday.

I am in the process of tracking down the results for the rest of our guys. I'll be sure to get more out when I can.
